Walking into a coffee shop or even the coffee aisle at the grocery store can be an overwhelming experience. There's a lot to choose from, which is a good thing, but can also be bad a thing when you don't know what you want to drink. There's been times where I'd just pick something a random. However, most often, I'd pick the same thing over and over. It can become boring very quickly.
A good way to make it less confusing is to know what the basics of coffee are. It'll make it a lot easier to pick out that much needed caffeine boost next time.
Coffee Grinders
Coffee - A brewed beverage from roasted seeds from coffee plants. The roasted seeds are what are more commonly called coffee beans. If you haven't already noticed, it has a stimulating effect on humans. It's one of the most popular beverages in the United States.
Cafe Mocha - Is a type of Latte, created with one third espresso, two thirds steamed milk and mixed with some kind of chocolate. It's my personal favorite and a good starting point if you're looking for something sweet and full of caffeine.
Cappuccino - Is a drink that originated in Italy. It's created with espresso, hot milk and steamed milk foam.
Espresso - Is a concentrated coffee beverage, brewed by forcing hot water under pressure, through finely ground coffee. It's thicker than regular coffee and used to make other drinks like cappuccinos, lattes and more. Please note, expresso isn't the correct spelling.
Latte - Is a coffee drink made with hot milk. If you compare it to a cappuccino, it will have more steam and texture.
