Are you a fan of a delicious tasting cup of espresso? Would you love to make your own great tasting cup but struggle to find just the right technique? Did you know the way to the perfect cup relies on the coffee grind? It's true! And once you learn how to espresso grind coffee, you struggles will end. Here is the best method for grinding espresso coffee beans.
First, you'll want to get some fresh coffee beans. Hey, there's no point in going to the trouble of making the perfect cup of espresso if the ingredients you're using...IE: coffee beans, are old and stale. Wouldn't you agree? And being that these beans are fresh, you may need to roast them your self. Although there are plenty of fresh roasted coffee beans made available for you on the market today.
Coffee Grinders
Once you have the fresh beans you'll want to grind them. Hint, here's the biggest piece of the puzzle, use a burr coffee grinder to get your espresso coffee grind. Why?
Well first, let's talk about the two basic types of coffee grinders that are available. They are a blade grinder and a burr grinder. While the blade grinder can break down the coffee beans and it can be used for both a drip coffee maker as well as your espresso drink, it is a bit messy. It will pulverize the coffee bean leaving you with little more than powder and dust. You can't get much flavor trying to brew a scoop of powder.
However, the burr grinder actually does grind the coffee bean and does so with precision to give you the fine grind that a delicious cup of espresso requires. In this manner you're left with the right granule size breakdown of the coffee bean to allow the flavor to burst through during the brewing process. Plus with a burr grinder, the settings are adjustable allowing you to change the fineness of your espresso coffee grind while still maintaining the versatility. (Just to note, the burr grinder is also a quieter appliance. This benefit is a good idea considering that a lot of loud noise first thing in the morning is probably not going to make you or anyone else in the house very happy.)
The grade of fineness you use depends on the espresso maker you are using. If you're using a stove top espresso maker, it only requires a fine grade. However being the espresso connoisseur you are, if you have an espresso machine, the super fine grade would suit your need more appropriately.
At this point you can take the coffee and pursue your favorite espresso creation. Now that you know how to make the perfect espresso coffee grind, you'll be enjoying the perfect cup of espresso.
